Upcoming Study Group for Technician Class License

We are pleased to announce the formation of a Technician Class course designed to prepare participants for the FCC Technician Class test. This training will incorporate online pre-recorded lessons and a weekly online question-and-answer session to facilitate collaborative learning. The weekly online question-and-answer sessions will offer a platform for participants to ask questions, engage in discussion, and review information pertaining to the weekly videos.

The study group will be led by Lee Chambers, call sign KI7SS, and Steve Ward, WC7I.  They are one of the most experienced amateur radio operators and instructors in Olympia.  A mentor, we call them Elmers, will also assist you on your journey.

The FCC Technician Test is the prerequisite for obtaining a basic amateur radio license. The examination consists of 35 questions and assesses knowledge of various topics, including electronics, radio theory, and radio operation. Successful completion of the test results in a Technician Class license, granting access to designated frequencies that will open a new world in this fun and exciting hobby!
